Nice place with good food and atmosphere. We liked grilled tuna a lot! Other dishes are were also niceMost of places around are cheaper and offer very similar food, but atmosphere here is better. This place works on Sundays which is a great plus.

Been visiting Golden Taste for years and everything from the quality of food to the friendly staff and the prompt service has been consistently good that I choose not to dine anywhere else in Gros Islet. The takeaway is also exceptional. Call an hour in advance for lunch and pick up at midday. Regrettably the ownership recently changed, but the same back and front of house personnel remain. They are what Golden Taste is all about. It's a pleasure to eat in almost a 'family' style environment. Oh and do indulge in a cocktail or local rum punch. Highly recommended. Oh and please tip generously.

Seems like a local fav with lots of locals doing takeaways.Food is fab! Grilled lambi / conch is fresh & tasty along with the grilled dorado Serve time is very slow though.. about 30 mins wait. We were ok with it as we weren’t starving worth the wait as the food was excellent!

1st time visiting in 2020...Great authentic island food. Tastiest white sweet potatoes I've ever had. I had the garlic shrimp and my fiance had the curry goat. My shrimp were plump and perfectly cooked. His curry goat was tasty and had his nose running. You get plenty of food for your money as well. A full plate with rice, salad, vegetables, and your food of choice. Definitely recommend checking it out.2nd time visiting in 4/2023...Food still very tasty! They were out of garlic shrimp so I had the grilled lambi and it did not disappoint. Fiance had the grilled Dorado and grilled lambi. We were both very happy with our selections.Enjoy!!!

Food was excellent. I had the tuna, grilled shrimp, lambi with rice, provisions and it was all on point ..best hole in the wall for great food

We came for drinks one night, the owner was very nice. We ended up rum tasting. Next day we came for dinner after beach and it was really good. It’s a local restaurant, they do cocktails as well, very reasonably priced.
